Writers, journalists, radio hosts, bloggers and academics from all four corners of the earth will be getting together at the House of Literature when the Norwegian Prose Festival is organised in Bergen for the first time on 22 November.

Prose about and from other countries will be represented, and the public is invited to debates, informal talks and good conversations about, for example, South Africa's last taboos, the USA's drones, China's new global position and Israel's war. See the whole programme here.

The festival will be organised by the Norwegian Non-Fiction Writers and Translators Association. The Fritt Ord Foundation has provided NOK 50 000 in support for the project.
